Our name, zinCode, LLC    and its graphic depiction are intended to provide you, our clients, potential clients and partners, with a sense of how we operate and how we deliver unparalleled value on every engagement.

• zin stands for the combined notions of vision and innovation – our hallmarks. The lower case usage gives a nod to our creative spirit. There is no doubt – we are skilled technicians and experienced engineers who are serious about software solutions. But we are also imaginative and collaborative innovators – a qualified technology team that stretches the boundaries of what’s possible and drives superior outcomes – both in software and now in the gamification of learning through zinWorks Studios, our gaming division.

Chris Martin

With 19 years of experience as a successful software developer and IT consultant, 18 years as a well-regarded technology professor and an innovative gamer since the age of 12, Chris is a proven technologist, educator and gamer.

In addition to operating his company, zinCode, LLC and its new gaming division, zinWorks Studios, Chris is a full-time professor in the College of Engineering and Information Sciences at DeVry University. Recognized as Distinguished Faculty of the Year (2010), Chris is qualified to teach over 23 courses in 3 colleges, and he is a co-curriculum developer of DeVry’s client/server program.

Chris founded zinCode, LLC in 2009 to create leading-edge applications and market them as Software as-a Service offerings (SaaS), and to provide a range of related IT consulting services to large and small companies across industries and sectors including: healthcare, fitness, education, manufacturing, banking, logistics, construction and non-profits.

As a technologist, Chris supports organizations to enhance their business processes and operate more efficiently by designing, building and delivering tailored software solutions. As an educator, Chris helps students handle complex concepts and materials in ways that make it easy to consume. Through the gaming division of zinCode, LLC, Chris is using his passion and skill in software development to fulfill his dream of creating a video game. He and his team are poised to become recognized as thought leaders in this fast-growing space.

The first zinWorks Studios game, ZombieED (3D mobile tower defense game) is releasing in the spring of 2018.

Our Team

Mark Combs has served as zinCode’s graphics partner for over 10 years. With experience in all facets of design and user experience, Mark provides a full range of creative services to the firm — from concepts for characters and drawings for towers featured in zinWorks Studios games and many other supporting game elements such as artistic renderings and backgrounds. He is a gifted artist and graphic designer who brings both content and technology applications to life in ways that engage and excite users on the web and across a dynamic set of genres and channels. He designed the zinCode identify and supporting artwork, and he applies his energetic and contemporary aesthetic to a range of projects that add value to zinCode’s client services.

zinWorks Studios is the gaming division of zinCode, LLC.

zinWorks Studios specializes in the development and creation of video games first and foremost. Our team consists of many diversified minds that, when put together, can achieve nearly anything.

We are an organic Indie game studio focused on developing games and having fun while doing it.. The team at zinWorks has created ZombiED, a 3D, real-time strategy, tower defense game that is highly optimized for mobile and developed with the Unity game engine.
